Heat
Sayulita sits on the Pacific and is similar to that which we Californian's are familiar with. However, the region is significantly closer to the equator and bordered by jungle which increases the temperature and, more specifically, the humidity. In short, it will be hot and humid which encourages one to engage in the many watersports that the ocean offers.
Humidity
Increased humidity can make an 88° day feel like it's 100°.
Thunderstorms
We've experienced scattered thunderstorms on one of our trips to Sayulita but they tend to add a bit of romance to the end of a day rather than keep people inside. As in most tropical locales, the showers are rather unpredictable and disperse as quickly as they appear. If you don't enjoy a little puddle play and are concerned about getting a little wet, it is good to carry lightweight windbreaker or rain coat.
